Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We visited the store for Filipino desserts during our weekend trip to town. Although we didnβt purchase anything, we promised ourselves weβd return before leaving, but we never had the opportunity to try them. It was interesting to see a one-stop food court and shop environment. They offered various food courts catering to different protein and side dish preferences. Although I was hungry, most of the options didnβt look appetizing. The store is clean for the most part. Inside, the store had a wide range of international snacks, drinks, produce, and seafood. However, some aisles could be narrow and challenging to navigate during peak hours or sales. We visited on a weekday, which was still moderately busy but not overly crowded.

June 2026 We arrived late, during the last hour before closing, and there were still plenty of parking spaces. Even that late, the hot food counter had a good selection of Filipino dishes. You choose your meal cafeteriaβstyle β rice or noodles plus two dishes for about $15β$16. Everything we ordered was very tasty. The staff were super nice, and they even had taho available. There are dining tables where you can sit and eat, and the whole setup is located inside the grocery store. Overall, a great spot for quick, delicious Filipino comfort food with friendly service and good value. Bon AppΓ©tit π

Super cool market! Very good for people who wanna try something new in San Diego. We found real authentic Filipino mangoes with super sweet flavor and had some calamansi juice with Filipino skewers that were super duper amazing. Itβs really huge, like really huge. And the seafood is super fresh!
